Alan Goldstein, DMD
Born and raised in the Bronx, Dr. Goldstein graduated from the prestigious Stuyvesant High School (1960) and the City College of New York (1964). He is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine (1968). He served as a dentist in Vietnam from 1969 to 1970.
He is a fellow of the American College of Dentists and is a well known lecturer and author within the field of cosmetic and laser dentistry. Dr. Goldstein has also been a frequent contributor to dental publications such as Dentistry Today and presently serves on their Dental Advisory Board. He is the former editor of Wavelengths, the quarterly publication of the Academy of Laser Dentistry, and has served in all of the Academy’s executive positions.
His knowledge and opinions, unfettered by commercial ties, have often been sought by the media and he has been quoted in many publications including The New York Times Magazine and New York Magazine, The Wall Street Journal and The New York Times. He has consulted with and appeared on major network television shows relating to cosmetic dentistry and lasers, including an appearance on The Phil Donahue Show in 1993 featuring “Lasers in Medicine and Dentistry.”
Dr. Goldstein was a principal investigator in a hard tissue (teeth) study for Continuum Biomedical that led to the FDA clearance for that laser. He also contributed to “Lasers in Dentistry” published by Quintessence.

Leon Tombacher, DDS
Dr. Leon Tombacher is an exceptionally skilled and caring dentist, who has decades of experience in crown and bridge work, endodontics, implants, as well as cosmetic dentistry. These skills are well matched with his passion for fine dentistry. One of his greatest strengths is his ability to create a safe and caring atmosphere through his sincere and gentle manner.
Dr. Tombacher received his BA with a major in English from New York University in 1964. He graduated from Columbia University School of Dentistry & Oral Surgery, with his DDS in 1968. After serving in the U.S. Navy Dental Corps, Dr. Tombacher established his own dental practice in Chappaqua, New York and remained there for many years, to raise his family.
Dr. Tombacher is currently an active member of the Dental Study Club of New York which meets at the Princeton Club on West 43rd Street, in Manhattan. He is an enthusiastic student and participates in ongoing continuing education in the field of dentistry.
Kei Lam, DMD, MPH
Kei Lam grew up in Michigan, and graduated from Kalamazoo College in Michigan where she was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa. It was in Michigan that she acquired mid-western sensibilities and her gentle and kind manner with her patients surely reflects that.
Dr. Lam’s education continued, now on the east coast, where she earned her Doctorate of Dental Medicine (DMD) and Masters in Public Health (MPH) at Harvard in 1991. She then earned a Certificate in Periodontics from Columbia University in 1993 where she received the Melvin L. Morris Periodontics Research Fund Award for Excellence. Dr. Lam recently completed a mini-residency in TMD (temporomandibular joint disorder) and oral-facial pain.
She is very committed to continuing education to further advance her skills and enhance the services she provides to her patients. Dr. Lam is a former Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Periodontics at Columbia University and a former Clinical Instructor at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in Bronx, NY.
Her areas of special interest and expertise are implants and TMD.

Kathy-Ann Parris, RDH
Born and raised on the island of Barbados, Kathy-Ann attended Codrington High School where she graduated in 1985. She emigrated to NYC and worked for 10 years as a nanny before enrolling in New York University College of Dentistry where she received her associate degree in applied science. She graduated from the school of dental hygiene in 2000 and participated in an oral health research project for two years.

Nadine Black, Office Manager
Jamaican-born, Nadine Black arrived in New York City at the age of seven, and while it seems as if she started working at Laser Dental Care immediately, she really didn’t begin until she was 16 and a junior in high school. Her first job here was as ‘the keeper’ of our mailing list. After graduating from high school she attended Brooklyn College where she earned her BA in English. Nadine’s desire to learn and develop continues unabated as she continues her education.
Now married with two children, her son Jarrod seven and daughter Jordan three, her life continues to blossom as she partners with Dr. Goldstein in many of his coaching seminars, helping other offices and their staffs achieve operational excellence and personal fulfillment. As a parent, a teacher, and a student, she continues to support our patients with her love, intelligence and thoughtfulness.
Yoely Colon, Dental Assistant, Front Desk
Born and raised in the Dominican Republic, Yoely, the middle of three sisters, emigrated to the United States in 1991, and now lives in Queens. She attended Jamaica High School and she continues her education with ongoing courses. She is a quick study and has rapidly taken on multiple functions at Laser Dental, performing exceptionally well at each new level.
Rosanna Suriel, Dental Assistant, Front Desk
Rosanna Suriel was born and raised in New York City as one of four siblings. Her parents originate from the Dominican Republic and Domincan culture was emphasized as she grew up. She is the mother of a beautiful baby girl, Anna, who has just turned four. She is attending Mercy College and her enthusiasm for learning is evident in her rapid growth and development at Laser Dental.
