If you Would Like to Read Even More
Stories from my wonderful patients who like to write, and responded to my request for a testimonial with something longer than a few sentences. They are nice stories, and Paula’s will make you laugh. They are to be enjoyed with a second cup of coffee.
Dr. Alan Goldstein
The Stories
“At Alan's office you're greeted like an old friend.
“You're never buzzed in. Nadine or Rosie come to the door and greet you by name. They are glad to see you.
“It's an elegant and serene waiting room, but you don't get to spend much time there. The office always runs on time - a New York miracle! I have never had to wait more than five minutes to get into the chair. Yet there is never a feeling of being rushed. Everything runs smoothly and calmly. They'll answer any questions you have, thoughtfully.
“On top of that, the dental care is excellent. Alan keeps making innovations that make the treatments less painful. For example, Novocain used to be worse for me than drilling. Then Alan started using a Lidocaine swab to numb the gums before the Novocain and gentle pressure after the Novocain, so that's no longer an ordeal.
“I've been a patient for more than 20 years and the work he's done has lasted and gotten praise from my sister-in-law who is also a dentist (very finicky! She lives out of town so I can't use her). He thinks about the long term and your budget-planning, which tooth needs immediate treatment and which needs to be watched, but can be treated in a year or two or three.
“I have complete confidence in the integrity of the office and the care I get from the team and that's a great thing in the world of medicine.”

“I assumed that when I began reaching the upper range of my fifth decade, I would have to consider dentures just as my parent’s generation did. But 25 years of Dr. Goldstein’s excellent dental care have not only eliminated such thoughts but have started me thinking about being a dental ‘poster boy.’
“In all seriousness, I consider my dental care and hygiene under Dr. Goldstein to have been excellent. He even got me to actually floss my teeth without being a ‘nudnik.’ His careful exams and proper remedial care have kept my teeth in excellent condition as I move toward the middle of my seventh decade.
“I have also recommended Dr. Goldstein to several friends through the years and they have all been very satisfied with their dental care.”

“Dr. Goldstein has been my dentist for .... I'm not telling you how many years because if my teeth aren't going to give away my age why should I? For the first time in my life, since getting my veneers two years ago, I like to smile. People tell me I have a nice smile and pretty teeth.
“I always took care of them and went to Doctor Goldstein regularly but my teeth were crooked and stubby. For years Doctor Goldstein tried to talk me into getting cosmetic dental work done. I balked. Not because of the expense but because it didn't seem necessary. My teeth were healthy just not attractive. Anyway, I was wrong. Doctor Goldstein was right. He said I would smile more and I do. I'm confidant about my smile. And even my mother, who complains about the cost of just about everything, said it was worth every penny and more. She always complained before that I took the braces off too early, my teeth were crooked, blah, blah, blah. Now she tells me I have beautiful teeth. It's pretty hard to get a compliment from my mother so thanks Dr. Goldstein.
“I wish the rest of me looked as good as my teeth.
“Besides the cosmetic part I'm grateful for the care you've given me. Most of my friends are losing their teeth and having problems with their gums. (My cousin is spending $40,000 just to try to keep her teeth.) Anyway, I know you would do everything you can to keep that from happening to me and that means the world to me. Both my parents lost their teeth. They were very self-conscious about losing their teeth and I felt bad for them.
“Anyway I'm going on too long but I wanted you to know how important my teeth are to me and how much I appreciate everything you've done for me to help me keep them in the best state possible. I do like to smile now, and what I'm finding is that when I smile people smile back at me. It's nice.”
